dark coloring usually means STRESS.

have you changed anything in his enclosure or around him?
changed feeding schedules?

just look around him and see if anything would stress him out. it doesnt take much with chams.

what kind on enclosure do you have him in? that can also play a role him in his health.

It's a Senegal Chameleon. I kept one for several years and it was almost always green. Make sure it's not stressed by anything. These guys hate to be seen. Have lots and lots of plant cover for them to hide in. Also, make sure it's cage is not in a high traffic area.
 
Mostly cahnges to dark colors for strees, his bones look good on what i can tell from the pics so hes getting his vitamiins,mbut most likely just streesed for something or another..
