No mate, my tank aint cycled, they are in a holding tank at the moment, this picture was before the water went to pot.

i think they take longer to break down, flakes are only thin so are better i would say, i just fed my empty tank once a day with a pinch of flakes, took about 2 weeks untill the water was brown and then by the 3rd week it started clearing up on its own so i left it a couple more days, tested it and did a 90% water change and was good to go...
i didnt worry to much about getting it perfect because there pretty hardy fish, my waters general hardness and carbonate hardness was off my chart and ph was a little high, but nitrate and nitrite was good.. they where fine in there and my water has levelled itself out perfect now...
tryed to make them jump 4 it, they usually do!
