My channa marulius got beaten up pretty badly after I went out for hours. I found it wounded and injured pretty badly, some of its scales are gone, some scales on its head are gone too, its tail was ripped, and at the base of its tail, I can see a bit of its flesh. It's still breathing and swimming at the water surface. But its tail is above its head and whenever it tries to swim down, its body(tail) floats up at the surface. How can I treat this? For now I've separated it into a small private tank, with filters, lots of plants and a few Almond leaves.
