Very nice, I love that you have a failsafe...most people build sumps and hope for the best in case they lose power. Now I would add the idea of the floating switch, just to be on the safe side. But that's just me...

yea its basically failsafe but a switch coould be a good idea but i have an old filter cartridge over the wole so.....

I have 50 rena filstars floating in a betta net hanging on the back of my tank. I have a spray bar blowing the biomedia all over the basket! Is this scientifically a functional wetdry, the stars are getting lots of air and water? Anybody know if this setup can work.I am thinking now of puting the basket above the tank and directing the spraybars ontop. Will my setup work. I love your cash saving idea on some awesome filtersetup.
