Cichla are NOT discus.

They do not feed off the slime coating.....

dont alot of substrate spawners do that??

been years since i read up on cichlid spawnings

They don't need the slime..get them out.

Feed live brine...you must feed them constantly, 4 times per day. If you don't, expect to lose quite a few.

Once they get a few weeks old and a bit larger...around 1.5cm...you may find that you have a few that are larger than others. Get these out. They will eat all the others and you will lose a lot. Its better to just get rid of these guys than lose a ****load...
