Finally back in the Cichla game after 5 years. Updates to follow!

Cichla kelberi - imported as wild caught but not given a collection point. My guess is Bahia.

Cichla orinocensis - again imported as wild caught but not given a collection point.

Taking pellets?

I am converting them now. I found that softening pellets and rolling them to mimic bloodworms works well. I have done this in the past with previous Cichla. I then start the increase the diameter and gradually change the shape to pellet form. It works quickly and has been very effective.

All 3 are fully pellet trained and growing quite well. I'm starting to see some yellow on all of them! Still not able to load pics...

I haven't been able to get some good pictures lately. Life is getting in the way and other than daily feeding and maintenance I haven't had time to sit and snap pics.

Here are 2 very quick daylight pics of my WC Orino and Kelberi.

The kelberi have tripled their size and the Orino has doubled in size. More updates to follow (probably after the move).
