My cichlids..

then the tank is bigger its 160 and i frogot to get the measurments but ill do that this weekend or maybe its six foot but more wide and more tall not to sure but its a pretty big tank and im gonna stock it with lace rock for bigger caves and for small ones as well just for the bigger guys and the smallers guys have places to hide... so yeah is lace rock goood for the cichlids??? and maybe some african driftwood not sure yet if i want to go that way....
well my goal is to have a natural type tank with some breeding OBs i got 2 females to one male right now but i want atleast 20 or more peacocks and haps and some yellow labs...
what you think???

if you put in breeding OB's youwill have problems... Think of a college party full of guys and two girls... and it is legal to kill males who are in your way... trouble....
Plus obs are hybrids (I like them) and can mate with most any peacock and lots of haps... putting females with other males will likely result in tons of aggression and more unknown fry.. You will have trouble getting rid of tons of OB fry... a lot of keepers do not like them...
Lace rock is great, but you will not need tons, but a few caves is all... peacocks and haps prefer more open swimming space...

They are great. They do not show as much color as some of the others, but I find it to be one of my favorites. as well as the http://www.cichlidforum.com/profiles/species.php?id=653... The holes in lace rock are not large by themselves. The rock can be sharp and with too much the peacocks will find themselves scratch up... Texas Holey rock is great so is slate...
what if a sand down alot of the egdes on the lace rock a lil more safer???
and also i had a under gravel filter took it out cause the guy at my lfs told me all it does is traps the dirt under the plastic so i took it out and damn there was alot of dirt and was dirty as hell..lol so i took it all out cleaned did like a 80% water change put the plastic part only back on the tank for support for the rocks (like egg creat???) and re did all the caves and plants and now my cichlids are all swiming together for the past 6 hours before some will be in groups and they will be swimming sometimes like the 3 OBs but now all together crazy i dont know what it did changeing it all out and cleaning it and redoing the rocks can change them that much?????
and yea mike that one u posted is nice im gonna give a list of africans to the guy at my lfs for stocking on my 160 gallon when i get it...

good idea to get rid of the under gravel filter. Think about changing to Pool Filter Sand one day... If you smooth the sharp parts it will help. Just remember not too many rocks...
My 135 tank will school together when it is feeding time or they are trying to get my attention... The minute I walk up the stairs they start doing it... It is fine... which fish were you think about that I posted.. You should do all peacocks haps... You will be so happy with it...DO NOT FORGET ALL MALES...lol
Also before you go to the LFS check local breeders on line and see what you can get...

right now i got all peacocks and haps besides the lil mbuna that i need to rehome and my pleco getting peacocks or haps is no problem for my lfs even if he dont got it he can get it for me and i get mine usely for free or 50% off ? just yesterday my old heater broke and he gave me a new one free! so i rather go to my lfs and i dont know any local breeder??

less is more with a hap peacock tank... let me add a few from a while back...
120 and 135... These were right after the move... I have upgraded them a bit with more rock for the 135 no new for the 120... the camera I was using is broke, and I am getting a cannon 40D in two weeks I will have more pics then...
