Hi.. Because this is what happens when u think u have enough room.. instead of disturbing any walls and disturbing the fish you just build another room.. i do not think they would appreciate the dust and hammering etc..

Liz, you probably have plenty of room. Just keep telling yourself that most pieces of furniture are highly overrated. That's what I tell my wife all the time. It hasn't really panned out so far, but there is always hope that someday she will come around to the dark side.

Ha Ha i know you enjoy teasing her.. the funny thing is maybe that is where i am ..the dark side.. i wasn't even interested in fish.. my hubby did this to me..He created a monster..

Hi Liz i know the RD and O get on fine now but i would really keep an eye on things especially if you move them to the CK tank, my oscars used to fight with my RCK quite a bit and he used to defend his cave from them but the only time he would come out was at feeding time,now he lives with other oddballs in a new tank and seems much happier, watch that RD though as mine got nastier as he grew and your knife wouldn't stand much chance if he decided he needed more space,i'm not trying to tell you what to do just letting you know of my experiences so no one gets hurt,all the best Paul

You do not have to worry and neither do i.. i decided to put 4 severums with my knife instead..something just told me the oscar and red devil combination would be too scary..and Ck's are timid types so i decided not to do it.. and the severums and ck are absolutely great together so it all worked out great!! Thank you for your info as it is a good warning to others..
