He gets salmon, catfish and scallops mostly. It took me 5 years before he would eat in front of me. Piranhas are pretty but do not make entertaining pets.

my flowerhorns never bothered my cories. i ended up giving them away though because the convicts wouldnt stop harrassing them

I had a couple giant danios in my tank when I set it up to test it for a couple of weeks before I put my silver aro in. When he moved in he just ignored them. Now he eats food of the bottom of the tank, because he sees them peck at it. Still can't believe he leaves them alone.

I know, they don't do much but they are beautiful. They don't swim much do they? Just kind of stay still.

Piranhas live in shoals in the wild. In captivity, they should be kept in shoals of 6 or more to spread out the nipping and the aggression. My tank is only 60 gallons, therefore I can only keep one specimen. To keep 6, I would need at least 200 gallons.
