very professional indeed:drool: gott love da rays

what is tha gallonage of those tanks? 1000 litre each?

how big r the tanks if you didnt already state it

Here is a shot of the wet/dry I made. I bought a 140 for really cheap and chopped the top off with a table saw. I glued in my own dividers and made my own drip tray and such.

As for water changes, you can see a whole house filter in the back, it is connected to 3, 2 GPH drip heads that drip into the sump right by the intake for the pump. So I automatically by way of the drip system change about 150 gallons a day.

The tanks are 400 gallons each. They are 3/4 thick and only 20" tall. If you do the math and subtract the thickness of the acrylic, they come out to about 400 gallons. They were manufactured by TruVu. If you want big tanks for a reasonable price, Call or email Scott at TruVu and tell him I sent you.

I have 10 rays now.

1-10" Marble Motoro Male
1-14" Marble Motoro Female
1-17" Motoro Female
1-16" Motoro Female
1-14" Motoro Male
1-15" Motoro Male
2-8" Motoro Female
1-8" Motoro Male
1-6" Motoro Male

Two of the rays are not mine but I keep them for a friend of mine. We swap around rays. He has alot of leos and a few motoros so we switch them around to help each other out when they need separating.

I hope that they will breed. They were just put in these tanks about 6 weeks ago so I won't expect them to get frisky too soon as this was a big move and a new tank to get used.

Other tanks mates is one 8" green severum named Big Jim. I've had him for a long time and just hangs out. Also there is a 14" spotted gar in the back tank. I've had him for awhile too. He is nice and mello and gets along great with the rays.

here are a few more shots of the wet/dry in action. (I need more bio balls if anyone has any they want to get rid of in the seattle area) and the best whole tank shot of the tank in the back of the room.

thats an amazing set up.

I always thought your bio filtration in a wetdry should be partially submerged or not at all?
