The substrate looks like someone knocked over a box of fruity pebbles. You might want to definately change the look of the substrate. Good luck with getting them to breed.

and now a Q, are teh adult black males or females?? one of them has 3 small orange spots on eachside and is almost 4 inches so is he male or female??

I look forward to seeing it and I mean it when I say it will help out with your cons colors, you'd be suprised about how much a good substrate matters for colors, I had my Tiger Oscar in with a lighter colored gravel then I tried a darker like a few members said and his orange looks really awesome now
