6??? only have 4 -3 ADULTS at 3 to 4 inches and 2 juvies at 1/2 inch to 1 inch.. and no just the betta and the 2 mollies are in the 29 and the 4 platys are in the 1.5 hex tell i get either the 5 gallon hex or the 10 gallon.

so, 5 cons then. not that big of a difference. and really, nothing should be in that 1 gallon other than shrimp or a pair of guppies.

And as for your cons, I have heard you talking about adding sand to your tank....You should do it to bring out your convicts colors.
Just so you know, convicts, like most central and SA cichlids, like to dig in the substrate, so gravel is usually the best choice....
If you already have the sand, it will still look great..
wel i AM gonna get the 10 gallon at walmort for 30 dollas and gonna add my 2 juve female cons in there and whats the best food for them to get there colors out more> just remember i ahve 12 buxs left cause im getting sand thats 8 bucks
the best food IMO are those cichlid waffers by Omaga or what ever its called.. but make sure it says Color Enhancement
