I eat about 300$ worth of food per week. Living off 400$ is impossible: That's only a total of 4,800$ a year, I spend about that on fish and fish supplies annually. Even 400$ a week would be miserable.

C_B, can I see some updated shots of your tank?
 
$50 Miscellanious? that doesn't even leave enough to take a girl to the movies!, much less dinner. even if you are on disability, screw that. if you can work, you could easily make 3xthat, doing menial labor in a warehouse. even more waiting tables. you can make $400-$500/week waiting tables, easily.

theres a wal-mart distribution center near here that starts at $13/hr.
 
Its called being conservative...looks as some don't know the meaning of the word...all I'm saying is get a job, stack up...move out....stack up some more.....buy your bigger tank. Thats what I did got a good job my last year of High School at 18 moved out during that summer been supporting myself for the past two years since april 10th which was my b-day I just turned 20...have a 5,000 credit line, a bike, a truck, house all in my name...know how I got that worked and was conservative and lived off the least I could. Its not that hard its inside everyone that inner drive...its all a matter of how bad you want it plain as that.

Unless you got some serious cashnola you should consider somewhere besides California. Way too expensive to live there.

you can get by on it while you're going to school. don't try to raise kids on it, though.
