What a great looking Crayfish!!!

thats a neat looking guy too....
mine has been hiding in his cave the last few days...finally stuck a claw out todya, and he must have been molting, cause he never normally stay in the cave (cept to molt) and he looks even bigger, but still won't come out all the way. can't wait to see how big he is now..might have to take more pics!

yes it was very tiny, around half an inch, little less than an inch at very most....

WOW, congratulations bro. you really did a good job beefing him up!:grinno: what do you feed him? great colors on him too :grinyes:

thanks... he just finally came out of his cave after hiding for 3 days... he did molt, noticably larger, and still kinda faint of color. will try to take some new pics this week or next...

well since its a cray, and its a scavanger he usually gets the leftovers from the fish feedings...
but it varies I guess. I feed frozen blood worms, mysis shrimp, brine shrimp, various flake foods, but usually what I see him nab are the sinking stuff i use... sinking algae discs, the larger ones from hikari, tropical discs, and sinking carnivore pellets..
its usually rather amusing, I'll drop a few algae discs in the tank.. cory's, pleco, and sometimes the goldfish start eating it, then out of nowwhere he comes running across the bottom of the tank, scares half of them away, will clip a fin if they are too slow, grabs one, then runs back into his cave as fast as he can with the stolen goods...lmao
