When these things breed do they get real aggressive and how big must they be? I have got one in a tank now, seems to get along with the fish fine, so I am thinking about adding a second for potential breeding and a ton of feeders at the time they spawn...on the same issue, how do you know male from female?

Depends on the cray. Do you have the same species he has pictured, or is it another species? American crays males will have gonopods, which are like and extra pair of "legs" that go up between the real legs. Australian species are a bit more difficult.
So here is the only picture I could find of my cray. He is a little bigger now, but it has been hiding like crazy the last few days so I have not been able to get an updated pic. This is from about a month ago now. Can you tell from this if its Male/Female and what kind it is?

Are the gonopods in the front, like between the big claws? I got a look at mine tonight and he has something like that I think. I couldnt grab a picture because he was still in his cave, but I am trying haha
No, you are looking at the maxillipeds. The gonopods are modified swimmerets. You probably have to pick your crayfish up and flip him over if you really want to see them. They would be pointing up and in between the rear pair of legs. I believe there are a couple of threads on here that have links to some pretty good sites with pictures on how to sex your crayfish.
Koji, congrats on the babies. Are they still alive and do you have any more pictures?
