Thanks. Ya using jugs doesn't hold the lids well enough for such a powerful Aro but he's been in this tank for a year now and haven't seen any sign of him trying to jump out. Them jugs are holding it well so far so good. Knock on wood When Aros try to jump out is a sign of u need to upgrade to a larger tank

Thanks. I just xfered my 10" Florida Gar into the 450. He looks tiny compared to the Aro. The Aro is more then double the Gar's size. I estimating the Aro is near 2 ft Small compared to them silvers/blacks but still massive to me for a Asian Aro

Thanks. I'm a bit frustrated with him now. Last night he was a bit jumpy for some reason and this morning I find a few injuries on him. Injured his top scale which just healed from injury before and his nose has a gauge on it...I added some salt to speed up the healing process.
