Archer's are brackish, but I've managed to keep them in Fresh. Running no salt or anything.

Very nice looking setups, but both the RTC and the RTGG are going to need larger tanks.
Yeah I've realised, so I'm looking at building a mass pond, or going monster tank... But no one makes fibre glass tanks in AUS.. .Well not that I know of anyway :irked:

I love that Lep. It's huge too! RIP my leporinus.

I really like your flowerhorn but dont know much about them. Can they live with other fish like your aro?

If you grow your flowerhorn up with all the other guys from small, they will live together peacefully, but if I just put him in the tank with the Aro/P.Bass, he will be aggressive and bite them.

That Lep cause any problems? Everyone tells me to stay away from them.
Hey burntrubber, they do occasionally try to bite the fins/scales of other fish. But fish like Aro's top tank dwellers they don't touch. Mine use to chase the P.Bass sometimes, but since the RTC arrived he won't touch anyone. :)

Turns out my Giant Archer wasn't so ''safe'' after all.

After coming home from work today, I saw in the tank that the Archer was missing.....

I had suspected the RTC ate him, then I checked it's stomach and it was BIG.. So I'm pretty sure it ate him

Those were the only Giant Archer's (the ones that grow up to 40cm, normal Archer's max at 30cm) that I've seen in Brissy.
Now I've only 1 left

I should have known! Agh. Sure learnt my lesson

I managed to get a picture after the RTC spat the Archer out after about 12hours of consumption in it's stomach... completely it chewed up

Not a pretty sight I tell ya.

I'm very cautious of him now, and gonna get him off live food (which means no more feeder goldies!) will start giving him peeled green prawns and just massivore pellets from now on
