It is bright enough I don't have to use the other lights in the living room.

My interest in your lighting is that I have a new indoor pond that sits in a very dark corner of my basement TV watching room that i need to light too.

My concern here is that hanging lights would blind me as I sat in a chair.
Right now Im looking for some type of hanging can light that would cast a spotlight down and not out to the sides.

Do you have a problem with the aquarium light blinding people?

Do you have a problem with the aquarium light blinding people?

Not a problem at all. In my fixture the bulbs themselves are about 70 inches off of the ground. The mini spotlights are recessed about 2 1/2 inches inside the frosted glass. When you sit down you can't even see the spotlights themselves so there is no glare. All the spotlights I looked at have the bulbs recessed. I guess it just depends on how high you are mounting them.
