Got this email from my Dad today

I lost about 2/3 of Blue Zebras and the entire population of Flowerhorns.
The problem started with pond 2 water outlets (overflow and drainage) which were blocked by years of accumulated leaves and small stick of branches. We tried to clear the blockage with the long steel wire but with no avail. So I called the plumber to fix the problem. I told him we would move the fish into the large empty aquarium but the plumber said it is alright to just let the fish stay in the pond. The plumber went into the pond, drained the pool with buckets to shin high and tried to clear the blockage but failed. The plumber decided to drain out all the water. By that time the water was only about 6 inches. And the remaining water is full of greenish algae and waste. They moved the fish to the empty aquarium and big tubs. The blue zebras couldn't stand the stress and about 50 plus perished.
Attached are the pics I took of the fish in the pond.. I have about 25 blue zebras, 5 gourami (big already) and two plecos. Any suggestion for colorful fish to be introduced maybe cichlid of other colors?

Man that sucks ass indeed. I don't blame anyone for the deaths, the plumber did try to leave the fish in without having to remove them but I guess they eventually needed to be removed. Sucks indeed but I am confident that they will spawn again. My Dad was quite attached to the blue zebras.
