Nice man, vid works great ... amazing how they just sit in front of powerheads .... dont know whats up with that white piece of string, dont know what it could be ... looks kinda like that slime coming off them that we talked about although it does look a little more solid than that, not sure what to tell you

I tried to net it out after the vid to try to get a better pic but it got sucked into the powerhead and got shredded up. It definitely isn't the skin slough we talked about earlier cuz this was thicker, was segmented exactly like a worm and it came from inside him

I would love to have one (bagarius bagarius anyways) but I'm SURE it would eat my giant danios eventually, or not I'm not an expert on goonches.
i didn't read the entire thread but I assume the larger one could be a yarelli correct, what size tank are they going into eventually?

As long as your danios stay at the top, they'll probably be fine. Don't quote me on that though. And yes, the larger 1 is, as of right now, technically a yarelli. HLG (highland giant) to be exact but hopefully more research will go into them. In Rob's writeup, he spoke of this 1 hopefully being renamed as B. bagarius since it is the largest. The smallest 1 is a rutilus from Thailand which gets much smaller. My plans are, as soon as they gain some size, to go in a 150 and then, hopefully soon, I will have a much larger tank,600-1000g, and then next year, 1 of my friends wants to buy 1, maybe both, HLG's for his pond after they put much more size on them.

now you got me intrigued and wanting it try it :). Not trying to get off topic but you think this would work? 1 green sev, firemouth, the danios, Striped raph, sailfin pleco (being upgraded), B. Bagarius?

Depends how big they all are. Not counting the tail, my HLG's are about 6" and they got along fine with my 3 scombs of equal size and a 10" aba aba knife. The only aggression I saw was 1 HLG chasing around a scomb trying to steal the feeder from its mouth and that same 1 chased my aba aba for a minute straight because it tried to steal back it's hiding spot. There have been no problems with the other 2 but now they have the tank to themselves. There will definitely be problems in the future for you though when the goonch is large enough to see the others as food. I'm not sure how well the pleco would do though. Since they occupy the same area of the tank, pleco's have a tendency to suck on slime coats and goonches aren't very active and just sit there about 90% of the time so it would be an easy target for the pleco.

Regardless of whether the fish is a top swimmer, or a bottom dweller if the goonch is larger than them they are in danger ...

Bumb for identifying the worm
