My dance with the devils

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
I'm sorry for your loss. It looks like hell is recruiting devils. I got home at 1am Sat and he was pretty much alive. 14 hours later, I found him vertical in the tank. The water tank temp was 77F, and I was 1 week behind on doing water change on that tank (kinda want to see if I can get away with water change every other week) I'll stick with my weekly water change schedule.

Damn dude! There's gotta be something else going on. There has been waaay too many goonch deaths in such a short amount of time. I'm finding it hard to be negligence when so many of us experienced hobbyist are suddenly losing these fish in such a short time frame.

I agree but there's also a speculation that these guys may even be migratory and this is what's causing it. It doesn't make sense that so many died in such a short time frame, 3 weeks, and from the members I spoke to, we also noticed an increase in activity before they died. All of mine were eating fine but they were moving A LOT. Mine would swim a lap around the tank throughout the day and at night, they were nonstop swimming all over the place.

So the collection is increasing now. Just picked up a ~7" rutilus from another member yesterday. ImageUploadedByMonsterAquariaNetwork1394993823.928923.jpg
Sorry for the cloudiness. The pH buffer made the tank all cloudy 😡
