So not very many people know but I acquired a suchus from my good friend. I have had it for about 1-1/2 months now and I believe I figured out what has been going on in my tanks. There was most likely some sort of parasite that water changes and meds could not rid of and, I have no idea why I didn't think of it before, but I hooked up a uv sterilizer. All of my fish have been doing much better because of this and my goonch has not died! So here he is! The new suchus!

I love how in the last pic you can see the crenelations on his back which are the reason these fish were named 'crocodile catfish'.

Did we ever figure out what your bigger goonch was Ivan? I don't recall. THe one pic makes him look like a rutilus, but one pic isn't enough lol.
 
No we didn't. Unfortunately that guy didn't last long :( he was upside down in the bag so I rushed home to hopefully get him goin again. Lasted 2 days but I could tell he wasn't gettin better and then died. My buddy is replacing him for me though and funny thin is, exact same collector as Matt and Liam haha

Is the only thing you have currently the suchus?
 
Yep until his shipment comes in. It was supposed to be last week but he accidently ordered from the wrong country so I gotta wait

My friend was gonna preserve the body for me and put it in a display case but I guess some bird or raccoon or something came by and took the body while it was out drying
