My dat has no color!

One of my 3 baby dats is almost totally white...Its weird beacuse he is the one who most eats, most swims and most looks happy...he chases the other 2 every now and then. Whats going on with my favorite dat? will post pic

if its a thin bar its normal they are hard to get colored up and the stripes look washed out

i have given up with thin bars

I bet they are Indo Dats, and since they are babies they arent brave enough yet to be stable a lot yet... Give it time and you will get some Great looking fish.

And i dont think an albino Widebar has ever been seen/recorded...

It's an Indo dat, Datnioides microlepis. That's within the normal variation for the species.

Yeah, I wouldn't worry about it too much. My little guys change to that color too. Usually when I turn the light on in the morning they lose their stability and once they get used to it the color stabilizes.

my larger thin bars looses color off and on its normal with indos and ntts seen my pulchers fade on occaision
