My datnoid is acting funny

what do you think is the best live food to give to a datnoid?

Live food is risky with weakened fish....How long has the tank been established? 0 Nitrate is nearly impossible in an older tank without tons of live plants. Did you shake up the Nitrate cheicals for a full minute??

I feed frozen krill and silversides to my dats....They are always shy...your BP might be pairing up. i also would choose DAts or Blood Parrot.

Couple pieces of advice have been given that would greatly benefit you.

Get rid of your bully. Stressed fish do not eat.

Live food is not going to solve any of your problems. Get him on pellets if you can. If he wont take them try bloodworms, brine ship or black worms.

Ok the bully is gone and i got about 12 ghost shrimp , i think i'm gonna get them to eat first then after a week or 2 I'll try starving them again. i notice when i added the ghost shrimp they were all over it. From the 12 i had i only have 4 ghost shrimp left.

but when i change the water should i do 4 gallon RO drinking water and 1 gallon tap water? somebody said its bad to use pure RO filter
