my datnoid (widebar?)

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Looks like an Indo to me, with the tail bars and the blotchy patterns that appears when stressed. Cool indo.. strong contrast and nice yellow. Get that fish big and monstrous !

I think it's a D. pulcher.

It's pretty confusing. It has a couple traits that would point it toward an indo tiger but overall, I think it looks more like the true widebar.

Perhaps a hybrid between the two that was bred in some Asian fish pond again?

:)

Ming how can you say its a wide bar? 3 stripes at the tail end?? and blotchy pattern when stressed. Very typical indo pattern. But of course theres 3 bars on the body.
Either way it has potential to be a beauty when it gets bigger.

Wes, it's not unheard of for widebar to have three tail stripes.

My widebar from Li also has that stree pattern when stressed/hiding.

Again, I think it's displaying some characteristics of an indo tiger but overall, I'd think it's a true pulcher.

Def. Agree ..its not unheard of for a widebar to have 3 tails stripes but its not
common either. The blotched pattern is something that i commonly see in indos rather than in widebars. I see widebars turning darker but not blotchy. In short, im not sure. Would be willing to bet its an indo for a dollar though. :D
