btw thanks nate&nicole its my lil baby sometimes wont eat til i handfeed it hes so spoiledMing, you might be right. It looks like one of those funky dats from Vietnam that confuse the hell out of me. The tail stripes actually look more pulcher than microlepis, as microlepis usually has two clean tail stripes plus the last body bar that crosses the caudal peduncle. Pulcher, by contrast, usually has a blurred last body bar that merges with a tail stripe. However, the blotchy and ragged middle stripe look so "Indo."M|L said:Let's wait until Jesse stumbles across this thread lol, I'm sure he'll know.![]()

You know, there's still the school of thought that Indos and widebars are actually two different locales of the same species, D. microlepis. A recent Aqualog book espouses that view. Interestingly enough, it notes that there may be two different species of SILVER dats, one from Thailand and one from the Indian subcontinent!
No, it was in the little Aqualog book on brackishwater fish. There was a brief discussion regarding the 4 (not 5) recognized species of Datnioides, noting that only D. campbelli and D. quadrifasciatus are brackish.BGG said:They have an aqualog dat book out now?
