I'm not 100% sure, but most of the dat heads on this forum have concluded he is a widebar. I really got lucky with getting him as I knew very little about dats at the time. I bought him a few months ago from an Asian fish store and there was no label on the tank. It just said $100, and I asked if that was the price for the datnoid. I didn't even realize that it was such a good deal. Its no wonder they are such a prized aquarium fish though. They have the personality of a dog and are beautiful and fun to watch. Too bad he may be the last of his kind.
