my NGT is 5-6 inches. he's always bothered my NTT a little bit but I don't think thats what killed him. i'm still not sure what killed him but before he died, he threw up a few chunks of talapia. he went into seizures 4-5 different times, thrashing around the tank, not caring what was in the way. (three separate times in the 15 minutes I was watching him).
5 minutes later he went into a seizure again and went lifeless. he looked like a goner! i immediately grabbed him and held his mouth up to a small powerhead. his gills became functioning again but breathing hard. he swam normally again on his own. transferred him into a 30 gallon by himself. lived till the next late morning. then had one last seizure and died.
