My dead Ocel :(

Sadly my little baby Ocel died last night.
Pretty devastated actually.
Went to a party Sat night, got back Sun night and I guess because he didn't get fed for a while he took a risk.

Now it's not the money that makes me upset, although he was $150 AUD (cause I can hardly get them here....)
He was a great fish, and seeing him grow was just awesome.

He died trying to eat a jewel cichlid that was too big to fit in his mouth.
That's a problem, when your fish is hungry and is growing, fish that were too big don't seem so big anymore and turn from tank mates into prey.

i almost had the same problem with my Jag but luckily i caught it in time and was able to get the other fish out. Both survived...

Haha I'd love to but where in aus are you? I'd be worried about shipping lol. Exotics are hard to get and expensive. $3000 for a tigrinus, $160 for a small ornate pim. I have to find a shop willing to order me in a couple of pbass. Let me know if you know of any breeders for pbass!!

I'm flying to Sydney this weekend actually haha.... Not sure on the regs on taking fish on domestic flights! Where is the breeder located? I'm really keen. If you could link me to the seller that'd be great.

From what i heard they don't have the facility to do the so called "testing" on fish so the easier way is to just ban fishes from Australia. So there's no medical proof of this at all seriously!

Its horrible AUSTRALIA SUX! seriously all you can keep is native fish! my tank has around $3000.00 worth of fish! and Im sure no1 would pay that much.
