Haha. I have had goldfish and I know how fun they can be. Black moors were my fav that and feeder gold fish they can grow into some great fish.
 
Goldfish are great fish overall! But I still like salt more

I used to love goldfish when I was young.....until I got an Oscar. Now Ive had Oscars, Convicts,Bettas and my favorite, native Sunfish, I only see goldfish as feeders. IN Cichlids-Gouramis and Centrarchids its their awesome personalities Im addicted to, but I must admit I used to love my goldfish when I was young .....and my father sure loves his Koi.

iknowrite? Almost everyone starts out with them, they're easy to care for, easily eaten, and terrible chubby and cute. How can we not like them?
 
Hey, my goldfish Silver (Yes, I thought I was being clever.) was what got me interested in fish when I was a kid. He became quite tame and would nibble my fingers when I hand fed him, so once when my mom was doing a water change he came up and started nipping at her fingers, scared her and she jerked her arm back and cut it all up on the plastic ledge. A few stitches and a lot of yelling later, I proclaimed Silver the best goldfish ever. I think he had a little monster in him. ;)
 
After 30 years keeping fish, i've come full circle, and i keep them in the majority of my tanks. They require monster filtration, monster amounts of food, and are monster cute. That's monster enough for me. And like i said, I keep a 13 inch Midas in my collection for good measure.
 
Hey I have been keeping fish for 40 years and had just about everything fresh. I have a large big as a softball size black Moor which is 10 years old. He is in a 50 hex with a pleco. This guy is my favorite fish. I guess what I like about goldfish is that they never hide. Ever keep a grammodes or jack dempsey? Big tough predators---- Hide City. LOL
