OK, it looks like i'm gonna have to check my email about every few minutes.lol..I'll do whatever i have to do i guess to get some of those beauties. Those albino golden melons are insane looking, i agree. I had my eye on some of those golden checkerboards he had in on his April shipment. They're a brand new strain he got in. The altum floras are pretty outstanding as you know. Amazing eye candy, truly can't wait to get some of these strains in my group. Just anticipating that preview list of his:drool:

Lol, I wanted a golden checkerboard soo bad also, but got my albinos and thought it would be too much yellow going on.

They are pretty sick! They been out for some time i got a few from Mike B. a few years ago :):):)

Nice pics, thanks for posting those gems! I'm drooling!! They will certainly add a color none of my Germans have. Do you feed anything special to keep the yellowy color around? Was once told (several years ago) that yellow colored discus can turn almost orange if not fed certain things. Not sure if this is accurate with some of these newer strains

I've come to the conclusion its food containing color enhancers. I believe they are good if you have a
red fish, other than that, yellows going red is something that may happen with food containing extra color enhancers, I go out of my way to avoid food with those, looking for more nutritional value. I like making sure I see things like Spirulina, Krill, and other whole ingredients containing enhancers though.

I never had any issues with the tetra color bits but i also didn't feed it to them often probably once a week. I kept to the flakes and FDBW.

definitely no need to use enhancers unless you want the red to pop. The Blushing reds are fed tetra color bits once a day if not twice and man does it make a difference.

 nice! "T"

Thanks fattubwhale & FMA4ME for the feeding tips for the color of my discus! Just ordered some color bits for my Stendker fire reds & red snakeskins

Sweet man! :D I'm hoping to place an order with Hans shortly. I think I might try some of his flakes. I also would like to try freeze dried black worms.

Hans is the man! I remember calling him for the first time.. not having an ouce of a clue about these fish & he gave me about 30min of his time answering my endless questions for him. Some people in his position might try to get me off the phone after a couple questions or hurry me up with placing an order, but he seemed to authentically enjoy talking discus with a noob like myself & shot me straight facts. And of course his discus are awesome as well!..He threw in a free container of his discus flakes which I pleasantly found with my order which my discus mop up. Can't go wrong with him..& yes, get some fdbw, discus seem to love them
