I would also leave it as bare bottom. Planted tanks and discus are not the best mix due to the different water each needs. I have seen some amayzing looking tanks though with live plants.
Great looking tank though, and you do seem to have a lot of discus in it. How many total and how big is the tank??

Yeah, I'm getting rid of those fake root s & have some really nice, wood to put in there. I also have some blue rams & a nice big school of cardinals in there now.sledge760;1499179; said:

i know mine wont be to everyones taste but the discus have been living in it for years and are very happy and i think it looks great heres a pic or 5

Looks good to me also... good job. There's something beautiful about simple although I'm not really sure why.
I think you have a nice tank and discus,euro, but i always think it looks unfinished without substrate in.
