So a good friend of mine kno4te kno4te is helping me with a book I’ve wanted to do because he’s really good with all different diseases so I asked if he can help me. Here’s some pics of it, criticism and tips would be great thanks! And my handwriting sucks?

Coming from someone with horrible handwriting(Me)..... Typing and printing off pages will be much cleaner and easier to read.
I have printed off what I wanted to say for cards and glued it onto the side without writing a few times? Some of us were not gifted with beautiful handwriting.

If this is just for you personally to use as a guide, then typing it up wouldn’t be necessary.

Yeah, my handwriting isn't my specialty ? Im using it as a guide for like if my fish or anyone else is sick and I can help in any way. there's also this course for college which includes basic diseases so this will also prepare me for that. the college is the University Of Florida.

Same here? I’ve tried and practiced, but it’s always been so messy. Oh well. Haha.

Good luck with your studies! It’s great that you are working on this and that it will serve as a dual purpose?

Thank you! it will be perfect in the future! Ive tried like tracing words and I still suck

Making a good start! Any projects like this I will type, OneNote is a good place to make these notes. I should actually make one for my ichthyology scribbles
Perhaps consider a good source like this, I have been meaning to get something like it.

Thanks you! I had a spare notebook and no printer so I couldn’t have it like a book like I wanted. So I figured writing would be easier

Ah that makes sense. I should probably compile a list of disease resources too, so far I have been lucky to have relatively common issues in my tanks that didn't need too much effort to identify or treat

Yeah pretty much the same here I’ve had ich to deal with twice and it was pretty bad but luckily pulled through

I hate to burst anyone's bubble, but info on fish diseases comes in all shapes and sizes. I rely on papers I search out using Google Scholar. Just to give you an idea of what you can find. Here is a paper on Ich you might want to check out:

Infection by the ciliate protozoan Ichthyophthirius multifiliis Fouquet, 1876 causes significant economic losses in freshwater
aquaculture worldwide. Following the ban on the use of malachite green for treating food fish, there has been extensive
research aimed at identifying suitable replacements. In this paper we critically assess drug and non-drug interventions,
which have been tested for use or have been employed against this parasite and evaluate possibilities for their application in
farm systems. Current treatments include the administration of formaldehyde, sodium chloride (salt), copper sulphate and
potassium permanganate. However, purportedly more environmentally friendly drugs such as humic acid, potassium
ferrate (VI), bronopol and the peracetic acid-based products have recently been tested and represent promising alternatives.
Further investigation, is required to optimize the treatments and to establish precise protocols in order to minimize the
quantity of drug employed whilst ensuring the most efficacious performance. At the same time, there needs to be a greater
emphasis placed on the non-drug aspects of management strategies, including the use of non-chemical interventions
focusing on the removal of free-swimming stages and tomocysts of I. multifiliis from farm culture systems. Use of

You ean read the entire paper here. It has a table that runs many pages showing more treaments than anybody knew exusted and then it gives the results of them on the various life stages of Ich and dosed in various ways. http://dspace.stir.ac.uk/bitstream/...macho et al Parasitology Ich chemo review.pdf
