That's great - did you get those clowns when they were already large or did you grow them from youth? I have a bunch but they are tiny, they never seem to get any bigger.
How big is your big distichodus, by the way?
The little guy has gotten much larger since that picture. He is really richly colored and just about the same size that my original one was (from the photo with the con) when I got him... so that means I ought to have at least another year or two of him being bright red.

Only the saddleback had any size on him when i got it about 2 1/2 years ago - same time as the 6 bar. Both about the same size then, about 4 inches?
All the others have grown here. Totally different growths rates on each loach! One has grown an inch, another nearly 4 inches and I got the slow grower a year earlier! Don't think I ever bought a loach over 2 inches....
Don't know how big the 6 bar is - maybe 7 inches? All the pics are very recent. The convict is a maturing male - nearly 4 inches?

I forgot about this post, but as long as it's bumped, here's a photo of my little guy. He's about double the size now, and while his body isn't as red as the old one, his fins are brilliant. Here he is with my other uncommonly bright fish, his best friend Loretta the Jewel Cichlid.
He is starting to not play so nice with the Datnoids in the tank, though it seems mostly harmless. They chase a lot at high speeds, but it's two-sided, so no real bullying.
(Kind of a crappy pic in the morning sunlight, but the only recent one I have. For scale, he's about the same length as the bala shark in the foreground, and the catfish in the background is 10".)
