MY DIY cement background

I Sprayed it a lot yesterday while it was drying and it came out with no cracks . its still a little wet so ill probably wait till sunday to do the third coat. When you put yours in water did it let off a lot of dust in the begging ? I feel like if i put it in water the cement would get muddy and fall off. Is that because its not completely completely dry?

I'm going to venture to say that concrete takes much longer to completely cure than you think and it's still not fully cured.

Concrete takes months to fully cure (less to get to say 75-90%, so you don't have to wait the full time for it to fully cure to use your background). Give it time, and It'll be fine. Just make sure to cure it slowly especially since you are in FL where it is hot and would dry it out and crack it easily.

When I did mine I soaked it between coats, but ensured it was dry before putting the next coat on. I then left it for about a week before soaking it in water. It was rock hard before I put it in to soak and only a little sediment came off.
