the twist is mike glued his strainers over the pvc where i drilled it out and glued it inside

Glad the Tee worked!! I wish I would have done that on mine. Speaking from experience, an aqualifter is worth it's weight in gold on a DIY overflow:grinyes:

How's that 4000 working?

this is my 2nd duel t inlet
other is 3/4" and too small

and aqualifter???

and the pumps still going great

It keeps the overflow primed...upon a poweroutage, the syphon is broken and the flow is stopped.
When the power returns the pump, pumps out the air and the overflow regains the syphon...

A ingenious idea actually....:headbang2

I think it also keeps them from slurping and gurgling...I'm sure Rallysman will telll ya...
 
I beleive they are strictly for removing the air in the pipes. Just a cheap safety precaution.
