Suppose a rock's weight is measured as 10 newtons when suspended by a string in a vacuum. Suppose that when the rock is lowered by the string into water, it displaces water of weight 3 newtons. The force it then exerts on the string from which it hangs will be 10 newtons minus the 3 newtons of buoyant force: 10 − 3 = 7 newtons.

I've made a few tunnels that way. Seems to work well. You can see one in the left corner

I'm stealing your idea midnight . I'm going to buy a bag of the river rocks and make like 8 when I get home

make sure to rinse them good first.
then let them dry good.
then once siliconed,let dry good.
these big rocks are heavy.
oh and dont be messy or they will stick to the cardboard.
