Somewhere
After reading so many DIYs of skimmers i decided to make one of my own simple skimmer for my first ever 10 gall saltwater tank for "nemo" clown fish .
thinks i used
1l seltzer water bottle cut in half .
8" 1/2" PVC pipe
3" duck tape
air nylon tube
filter from cigarette ( didnt have time to get wood air stone)
python vacum head
used suctions cups from ol' heater
couple zip ties.

First i taped duck tape in about " from one end of the pipe and stuck it into bottle really hard . Water doesnt leak so its fine.

Then i drilled hole 2" from opening on python vacuum head , sip tied suction cups . Because i didn't have wood air stone i used cigarette filter head and stuck in into vinyl tube. If you stick if hard it will make fine bubbles , if you stuck it too hard it will block .

Now after its done , its time to put on the waste cup we made earlier . 1/2" pipe will fit perfectly on it

I dont have my fish in yet so i dont know if it works , but after reading all those skimmer DIYs i am 99% sure it will work
my tank is 10 gall and its only for testing and will be my first SW tank.
I used instant ocean salt , i am waiting for live rock and live sand. Filter is AC 70 with suction mod ( i will post pics later when its finished)
DIyY light with 2 100watts bulbs . and 120 gph power head .

Pics are made with my BB phone so they might not be the best . This is my first ever DIY i posted on this site .

Any comments and questions welcomed

thank you for this wonderful site
