my diy stand is out of whack

Stand looks great!

Wow that stand looks awesome!! I would drain the tank and chuck the styro out. I am not a big believer in the styro. The idea of the foam is to help keep nails and sharp objects from peirceing the bottom glass of your tank. If you have the plastic trim on your tank then you have no need for the foam. If the foam degrades or crushes on one side then it will off kilter your tank and cause issues down the road. The tank wouldn't burst in the first few hours or days but weeks or months or even a year or two. I would check the level on the stand then compare it to the level of the tank, this will let you know if the tank is crushing the foam or the stand is at fault.

thanks for the comments, i am proud of my achievement, and to think, i didn't even break a nail doing it, lol.

My tank is just glass, no plastic trim, i decided on the foam to absorb any imperfections on the stand, everything was level until i filled it. Its probably the flooring then thats giving way. Geez, i hope i don't wake up to glass and water on the floor in the morning.

and i just noticed viewing my pics, that my door handles on the right hand side are not even, damn, thats what i get for rushing.

Just keeps getting better!

Judging from those 4X4's the stand isn't the problem, if it was level before filling then it should be exactly the same with the little bit of weight (for this structure), my guess is that the floor is off with the weight...you could shim up the tank to take out the imperfection but with it being off that little it's simply a piece of mind fix and not really needed

thanks again for the compliments

well I woke up and there was no broken tanks or floor, doesn't look like its moved any more. Fingers crossed that it stays that way. I think i can safely turn the filters on now. Can't wait to get the fish in there.

Will keep udates as I go.
