My DIY Wet/Dry Filter

nice filter. i'm bout to build the rest of my upflow here soon. does anyone in here have any experience with the upflow design?

The feed is fed to the bottom, under the egg-crate, up through the media, then out an overflow to a sump...
Best to have egg-crate over the media, to keep it down.
My first DIY, was upflow.

You mean a gravity return?

If so, it's the same W/D system, just pumping the water out of the tank to the filter.
