My dog ate what?!

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
Couple years ago my dog arrow ate a chicken kebab off the counter, stick and all. A few days later we noticed that looked sick or like he was in pain so off we went to the vet... the vet took x-rays and there didnt seem to be anything in there so we thought he had passed it. but they wanted to be sure so they kept him there for a couple days for observation, they put him on some pain killers and called my dad to go pick him up a few days later. So my dad went and picked him up and because arrow hadnt seen my dad in a while he was obviously pretty excited to see him. In his excitement he dislodged the skewer which was actually still inside him (x-ray machines cant see wood apperently) and the skewer went through his stomach, through one of his lungs and in between his ribs so that there was only skin still keeping the skewer inside. Luckily my dad felt the skewer while patting him and asked the vet what the bump was. The vet then picked up arrow and sat in the back of my car while my dad drove him to an emergency vet across town arrow was in septic shock when they got there and went right into surgery. A couple days and about 7k later he finally came home.

My dogs like fish food. One will sit and beg for Jumbomin pellets. If that doesn't work, she just steals them when I'm not looking and eats all of them. I used to keep fish stuff in a file cabinet. One of my girls, figured out how to open the file cabinet and just take what she wants. The same girl is now the reason both refridgerators have velcro on the doors to keep her out of them. She and her little sister were having picnics in the middle of the night. One way to get the fridge cleaned, I guess. What they currently are trying to eat is the new kitten. It might be all of 6 weeks old and both girls want to snack on the poor little thing. "Poor little thing" has all its claws, wait till he/she gets a little bigger and learns how to use them...

When i was in the 5th grade i spent hours and hours making a clay sculpture of a tazmanian devil for a school project.. it was AMAZING (to the standards of an 5th grader)

left it out on the table overnight to harden up. woke up to it on the floor...destroyed..chewes on, chunks missing.

i went to school feeling like an idiot having to tell the teacher "my dog ate my homework" HAHA..............she called my mom to confirm. apparently 5th graders aren't trustworthy ;)
