DAMN...........

Insurance is a great option. It's a good investment for a family member. We ensure ourselves, our house, and our cars, why not our pets? I have 3 guys with insurance on each.

I know how you feel, I had to wait on my 55gal a long time ago after I got a cat. She got kidney stones and it was $700 to get them removed as they were to big for her to pass. I just saved up and got the surgery for her b/c she is my cat and there was no reason to put her to sleep when it can be fixed. Plus I love my cat. Well good luck its a very cute dog, I love pom's =]

We alsways have pet insurance-BTW our Retriever had bilateral ACL reconstruction for her knees 2 years ago and is doing great. Animals are remarkable resilient

we went to an orthopedic specialist the other day and he said he didnt think it was as bad as the first doctor thought. he did say he thinks theres more time before we need surgery but we think we're gonna go ahead this summer and do the surgery. he said it would be about $1200 at the most which is worth it for him. we were expecting around $3000 so its a lot better. the doctor said it would make his quality of life better after the surgery. i can tell sometimes he is in pain, he woke up this morning acting funny and im pretty sure in pain.
