Dobermans don't have naturally erect ears. They have to have a surgery to crop them and get them to stand up like that. (BTW, if people actually saw what their dog went through in the operating room for that stupid cosmetic difference (which I think looks dumb anyway), most people who actually cared for their dog wouldn't do that to them.
