I just started a new job at a little bar/cafe by the river.
I have been working from for the last 5 yrs while my son was little, but he is 7 now and my husband is looking for a new job so we needed something steady coming in.
So far I love it, even though I'm stuck in the back of the place and not making serving tips as of now
It is still nice to be out of the house and working somewhere laid back where the people are cool ( I knew over half the staff before I ever started.)
Today was my second full shift and I was doing the entire kitchen and the walk up window as well, which was nerve racking but also made the night go by super fast.
the only problem...I feel old right now, I am pooped!!
and the concrete floor is kicking my feet's and back's arse!!
I bought a new pair of nike running shoes for the trip to disney world that
I have been wearing, they suck for foot support. I generally wear crocs when I am working fast and furious for my own business at home, and my feet love them, but the floor is often wet and slippery at the restaurant and crocs + wet floor =
without the laughing
any tips for decent looking shoes that are good for lots standing and can take some major abuse. must be closed toe.
they will be worn with either shorts or jeans and a tie-die t-shirt or tank top
