My Dovii

Nope they always got on... Do the whole lip locking, aggressiveness etc when spawning but dont hurt each other... Pretty unique these two... Male was an inch bigger.
 
i have a question for you dovii guys. i had a male that was about 5" and he was always hiding. he would come out if no one moved but when i came up to the tank he hid. i had him for about 2 months before i said the hell with it and got rid of him. are they all like that cause i really want one with a good personality like my midas. should i try again?

Both my pair are friendly! Always at front of glass... MAle is extremely friendly apart from when they have laid eggs! Then they both try an strip the flesh from my hands

It's hit or miss.. I've had some that would hide when I was in sight.. then there is my current male.. he's everything a Dovii should be :eek:
 
I'm going to put some eggcrate up tonight and see how they do then. In a week or two after she's comfortable with being out in the open but if he's still after her I'll probably try a different female somehow.
 
Nice! I've always wanted a Dovii, but around my area there never seems to be any.
