Well I guess the female is closer to his size than I thought. Anyway i noticed her eat some fry tonight which i hadn’t seen before, and then I realized it’s because they spawned again (eggs in lower right of second picture).

I doubt it. I realized yesterday my automatic feeder was empty for who knows how long. And I only hand feed them a couple times a week if I happen to come home on a lunch break. I’m not at that house during the summer.
Why do you say this? I don’t know much about Dovii just curious to know the logic.
feeding provides resources for the female to produce eggs. When you have fry, cut back on the amount you normally feed the parents so the female doesn’t have the energy to make more eggs
How much are you feeding them per hand feeding?

Wait I thought if you didn't feed enough they would be tempted to eat the fry especially the male?
