Couldn't your local pet store get a fahaka in I know I can for most of the year and there like $60-$70 for like a 6-8"

For some reason this year was a bust for baby fahakas around me. I even went to that fish place (they always have them this time of year) they said they were having a hard time getting them in. No one around me had them.

Bummer on not being able to find one by you. have fun with it fahaka are very personable fish
Mbu is much harder to get around me normally cost more and are other fish tolerant they also get over 2' long

A lot harder, especially considering the price tag difference a lot less likelier for lfs to have them on their radar. I can find fahakas at some stores most of the year, but mbu I rarely see, if I do it's big and they want a few hundred

I can find a small Fahaka for 20, and can't find a small mbu for under $150

They are both cool looking fish that I have yet to have the pleasure of keeping so congrats to L9 in getting his dream fish.
