Stupid ? :screwy: How did you catch the pleco? By hand or fishing pole and what kind of bait?
 
man i see some awesome pieces there that would look sweet in tank!

I don't know what the trees look like where you live, but the trees here have lots of branches.:p



...oh wait, I get it now. Those "trees" out by your street...those are telephone poles. :ROFL:

By hand. At first I didn't know what kind of fish they were, and kept throwing all kinds of bait to them. Then I started with lures and nothing worked. I pulled some lures right through a group of them without any interest from them. Finally I put on a trebble hook and a weight and tried to snag one. I had some direct hits but the hook wouldn't sink in. Finally I paddles close enough to see what they were. After that it took a few hours to catch one but after I got it down, I caught three more in half an hour.
 
nice cypress knees, we get good selection also in Louisiana
 
I cant believe they made their way north (Plecos that is )... very cool.
 
I would love to go there. Probably find some burmese pythons hiding umongst the roots.
