LOL...I was thinking of building a 2,000 gallon pond for my duck.
I might also add a few rtc. :D

Get a home depot large pvc pond or even a water trough even a kiddie pool that you can dump and simply refill with water.

Does the peacock still come by your house ? "Mine" attacked me twice in last month lol

we all want a duck now... so sweet..

Hi Louie, sorry I didn't see this earlier. The peacock is still around, heck, it even had babies! How, I'm not sure. But there is now around 3-4 new small peacocks in my neighborhood! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iKhEXJm1J18 Here's a much newer vid of her.

Thats a stunning duck great feathers. Why not go to walmart pick up a $10 kiddie pool .

There might come a day when she leaves as they get "call of the wild" . My neighbor had an egret yrs ago who left but it returns now and than.

She's still doing just great! Lays me 3-5 eggs a week, and will be turning two this June 9th. She stills loves walks and hanging out with the chickens.

She looks great!! Havnt seen you in forever. Welcome back!!

What a cutie!:hearts: Nice you get a lot of free eggs. Do you cook them or have any of them hatched (assuming she mated)?

I remember raising my own chicken. Died after 5 years though. She would give me eggs daily and she once or twice managed to lay 2 eggs in a day.

cool duck. My step mom had a few every now and then but they all ended up in our oven eventually. do they make good pets? how do you have it set up? does it stay outside year round?

Great pets when hand-tamed. She stays out-side year round, but goes inside a locked dog carrier every night. Hawks would be a problem else where but the local species here it too small to take on her.

@Lupin - It sure is! Haven't bought store eggs for a year. I do not have a drake, as she is my only duck, so she is not fertile. Same for the chickens. I cook them of course! The chickens yolks of the chicken eggs are almost red (Signifying a really wide diet) and the duck eggs are very rich.
