Got ninja'd...cali round rays are usually done as cold water setups...so just to warn you on that one. People usually dont keep them in tanks over 75F...which might not be the best for your other tropical fish.

hmm well ill be sure to turn to you fleshy when I have any questions :D Im still a noob but I guess i got quite a while to decide and research while my tank cycls

Well, it looks as if you are a well equipped newb. That is half of the battle. There is a lot of tinkering though, and it will get hard before it gets easy. You will make it though.

Hows the grouper? I've been told my 72 gallon tank is perfect...but I doubt it because I already have a lion fish, maroon clown, fox face and blue throat. All under 4 inch except for the lion pushing 5-6in. Also I've been told that these groupers need to be in tanks at least 90 lol so your great!.....that a great fish to cycle with ;)

yeah im thinking about dropping him in the 215 to help cycle it since groupers are very stable and hes already eating. But he is GORGEOUS hes more beautiful then any of the pictures of miniatus groupers on the internet, hes still a little shy but hes eating squid eagerly. I think you could keep one in your 72g for a while but not for life, they get 16-18 inches long so I would suggest atleast a 100g

Yeah thats why, I'm honestly hoping for my tank to hit a leak...so I convince my mom to purchase a larger rectangular tank...lol. For the price of a bow front tank with stand about $1000 from my lfs...with that money I could have probably gotten a decent 180.
Lol since I live home with my parents cause I'm only 15 I will settle for the 72 lol....use to be a 46.

haha Im 15 too but 1000 isnt too bad for around where I live my 215g with stand, sump, and heaters was almost double that:eek:

$1000 doesnt take you far in the world of fishkeeping. I dropped 1500 in a matter of months on a 75g that was already running. :(

It badly needed the overhaul though.
